A survey of small businesses in Malaysia carried out by CPA Australia indicates that 42 percent expect to see strong growth in the future.

The survey which also covered small businesses in Singapore and Australia, found that Malaysian businesses were expecting the greatest increase in part-time staff numbers in the coming year.

“Small businesses are significant components of national economies and the survey sheds some light on how that role may be affected throughout the region in the immediate aftermath of the global economic downturn,” said CPA Australia president Richard Petty.
