International Islamic Investment centre mooted for Port Klang

July 13, 2009 by: editor

OIC International Business Centre Bhd is discussing the possibility of acquiring space at the Port Klang Free Zone to set up an International Islamic Investment and Economic Centre offering a one stop trade facility for Islamic countries.

OIC’s chief executive, Datuk Raja Mohamad Abdullah, says he has discussed the idea with Islamic countries and has received positive feedback.

If it goes ahead, it will help to position Malaysia as a gateway to Islamic economies and will help generate more revenue for the Port Klang Free Zone and business for the surrounding ports, he says.
